The 3-year modular program of Chitkara University will result in M.E (Master of Engineering) in Computer Science and Engineering. The program will be conducted in 3 academic years consisting of 6 modules, that will include specified courses and thesis work.

This program will be industry oriented and practice based. Activities in the program will focus on producing skilled engineers through class room sessions, practical sessions, research/project oriented activities.

Objective

The objective of M.E. modular program is to impart deeper understanding of upcoming computer technologies and to promote research in this area. This program will provide an opportunity to the aspiring graduate engineers to enhance their qualification while performing their regular job duties. It will help in developing the skills desired by teachers for training undergraduate computer science & engineering course and also imparting knowledge that would meet the fast and ever changing requirements of computer science industry.

The objective of Computer Science & Engineering discipline is to produce postgraduates with advanced knowledge in one or more areas of Computer Science. This program is aimed at providing the manpower required to meet the industry needs , to pursue research in specialized areas and to meet the growing needs of trained faculty in this field. The program has been designed to enable the candidates to acquire practice oriented knowledge. Candidates will be having opportunity to tailor their studies to a particular area related to computer science by choosing specific subjects.

Program Highlights

• The facilitators will be the experts in their field.
• Curriculum will be consisting of advanced courses and courses in demand.
• Two modules will be held per academic year, with 35 teaching days in each module.
• Two courses will be offered in each module except 5th and 6th module, which will include thesis work also.

Eligibility

• Candidates having B.Tech/B.E. degree in Electrical/ Electronics and Communication/ Computer Science and Engineering/Information Technology with minimum of 55% marks.
• The minimum duration of the program is 3 years which can be extended depending on dissertation work.
