Dr. Harpreet Kaur is working as an Assistant Professor of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Chitkara University, Himachal Pradesh from 2008. She did her Graduation from The Institution of Engineers (India) in 2007. She also has a 3 years Diploma with Honour’s in Electronics and Communication Engineering (Govt. Polytechnic for Women, Jalandhar, 1999). She has Master’s Degree in Microelectronics (Chitkara University, Himachal Pradesh, 2015). She has complete her PhD Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Chitkara University, Punjab in 2022. Her Ph.D. Thesis was on Systematic Investigation of III-V Nitride Material Based UV Detector Structure for High Responsivity. Her publications include performance investigation analysis of CMOS Tapered Buffer and AlGaN or GaN Metal-Semiconductor-Metal Photodetectors. She has presented and published a number of research papers at various National and International Conferences. She has published several research papers in UGC listed and Scopus journals. Her areas of research interest include Solid-state devices, AlGaN and GaN photodetectors and Metal-Semiconductor-Metal detectors.  She has also filed 7 patents in the patent office of India. She got Teacher’s Excellence award for Most Committed (Excellence in Commitment) in 2016. She also got a certificate of appreciation for her contribution of an article in the weekly e-newsletter of Chitkara University. She has chaired sessions at various National and International conferences. She has to her credit more than twenty-three years of teaching experience. She has taught various Electronics and Microelectronics subjects to B.Tech/B.E students. She is project mentor of numerous Electronics and interdisciplinary projects. She is also an academic mentor of students to guide them in academic and co-curricular activities. She has coordinated in organizing various technical events, workshops, FDPs and conferences in the university. She is active participant in learning and development initiatives (Symposiums, FDPs and Conferences). She is active member in designing lab manuals and course material related to various ECE subjects.
