Vice-Chancellor’s conference hosted under auspices of Himachal Pradesh Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Commission

Chitkara University, Himachal Pradesh recently hosted the Vice-Chancellor’s Conference, under the auspices of the Himachal Pradesh Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Commission. The conference, held on April 17, 2023, was attended by Vice Chancellors and Registrars from 14 private universities in the state. The event was chaired by Maj Gen Atul Kaushik, Chairman of the Himachal Pradesh Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Commission, and Prof. Shashikant Sharma, Member of HP-PERC. Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Pro-Chancellor of Chitkara University, was also present at the conference.

During the conference, several important topics were discussed, including eco-friendly and sustainable campuses, skilling youth for future jobs, and the issue of drug abuse in universities. These topics were seen as critical to the success and growth of private universities in Himachal Pradesh, and the discussions provided valuable insights into how institutions can work together to address these challenges.

In addition to the presentations by various Vice Chancellors and Registrars, the conference also featured speeches from Mr. Arpit Sharma, CEO of the Sector Skill Council for Green Jobs, and Dr. Satender Arya, CEO of the Agriculture Sector Skill Council. Maj Gen Dilawar Singh was also present at the event and shared his views on the future of job opportunities and collaborations.
