The 16th edition of BAJA SAE India officially inaugurated on campus

The 16th edition of BAJA SAE India was officially inaugurated at Chitkara University, Himachal Pradesh, by Hon’ble Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Pro-Chancellor, Chitkara University, on April 5, 2023. Debasish Neogi, Managing Director, Renault Nissan Technology & Business Centre India, was the Chief Guest for the event, and the Guest of Honour was Shilpi Wadhwa, HR Head, Mahle Anand Filter Systems.

Baja SAE is a Collegiate Design Series competition run by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) International, wherein teams of students from universities design and build off-road cars.

Dr. Madhu Chitkara welcomed and encouraged all the participants to enjoy the event and was confident that the 5-day event would instill many valuable life skills. Over 70 teams registered under the eBAJA category will be competing in multiple with their student-built single-seater All-Terrain Vehicle powered by an all-electric powertrain. This final round of the competition, with the theme “Refuel, Recharge, Reinvent”, will conclude on April 8, 2023.
