Pratyaksh, Jeetshu, ECE Students bagged the first position in national level Student Research Convention – Anveshan 2017

A national level achievement has come through for the students of the department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Chitkara University Himachal Pradesh when they won the first position in the Engineering sector and a second position in Basic Science sector at the National Student’s Research Convention “ANVESHAN”. The competition was organised by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) on March 27- 29th, 2017 at Annamalai University, Chidambaram, Tamil Nadu. The National Convention witnessed participation from North, South, West, East and Central AIU Zonal Student’s Research Conventions in five sectors namely Agriculture, Basic Science, Engineering, Health Science and Social Science.

Chitkara University Himachal Pradesh students of ECE 3rd Year – Pratyaksh Joshi and Jeetshu Majumdar, bagged the first position in the National level Students’ Research Convention – Anveshan, under Engineering and Technology vertical. After going through the tough competition at zonal level, a total of 75 selected projects were displayed for assessment at the national level out of which 15 projects were finally selected for awards under five different categories.

Chitkara University students secured the first position winning a cash prize of Rs 75,000 for their project on Morse Pen – ‘A writing Aid for Blind’. The project was displayed under the guidance of Mr. Sagar Juneja, Research Associate, Chitkara University, HP. The well-researched project represented their vision and their willingness to come forward and do their bit far the society. The students displayed immense logical and innovative skills and made the cut above the rest!

Abhey Mittal from Basic Science won the second position and a prize of Rs 50,000 at the convention.
