Lt Gen KJ Singh, former GOC, Western Command, delivers a talk on ‘Technology Key Enabler for Armed Forces’ at CUHP
Lieutenant General Kamal Jit (KJ) Singh PVSM, AVSM (bar) (retd) and former General Officer Commanding of Western Command delivered a motivational talk on ‘Technology Key Enabler for Armed Forces’ to the students at Chitkara University, Himachal Pradesh.
He said that India’s emergence as a strategic warrior in Asia has drawn attention to its Army’s role as a security provider. Digitalization has become a reality for armed forces. Effective command, control, communication, and information are key enablers for military success. General KJ added that the armed forces should aim for superior technologies on an integrated and consolidated information and communication technology platform, which with technology is a reality now.
The effectiveness of the forces has grown several times with technology playing a vital role. Apart from talking about how important technology is today, he urged the students to step forward and be a part of the world’s second largest Army, Indian Army.
Chitkara University has a fine record of sending many of its technology as well as non-technical students to the forces. It has a fully flourishing NCC set up at the campuses. General KJ was impressed by the University’s commitment to the armed forces.
It was indeed a motivational talk for the students.
