Faculty, students from CSE attended 8th University scholars leadership symposium at Bangkok

Ms. Ankita Tuteja, Assistant Professor in the department of computer science and engineering, along with the students Rishabh Tewari and Deepanshu Sharma, attended the 8th University scholars’ leadership symposium organized in collaboration with UNDP at Bangkok, Thailand from August 1-7.

The theme of the Symposium was “Building LIFE, Giving HOPE”. The event was attended by over 900 emerging world leaders’ from78 countries. The aim was to focus on developing leaders to bring social change.

The USLS was a week-long Leadership Conference in Social Development for young leaders from all over the world with an aim to inculcate social responsibility as well as to foster the aspect of selfless giving among emerging world leaders.

Ms Tuteja stated that the students learned what it means to give back to the community. At UN, delegates were able to interact with 12 UN agencies that have set up exhibitions to showcase their works. Delegates got a chance to increase their professional network and understanding of global affairs.
