APAC organized “India Digital Empowerment Meet and Awards”, the biggest gathering of digital transformation leaders in India on July 10th, 2021. The 3-day virtual event was aimed at addressing the importance of leveraging digital technologies to transform the nation and to create a meaningful dialogue by bringing communities together. The event was a perfect meeting point to measure the potential impact of digital interventions. While the world is reeling from the effects of Covid-19, a number of entrepreneurs, tech firms, organisations, government bodies, and individuals have risen to the challenge with ingenuity, intelligence, and tenacity to tackle the plague. The APAC News Network, an emergent community building, knowledge resource, and media organisation in India and the Asia-Pacific area, honoured these heroes.

Dr.Madhu Chitkara, Pro Chancellor, Chitkara University was presented with a ‘Certificate of Appreciation’ for “Dedicated Efforts and Exemplary Work in Education”. She also joined an illustrious panel as a speaker for the summit and shared her valuable insights. While addressing the audience, she wholeheartedly accepted that technology is an inseparable part of education and its effective use has immeasurable benefits. She also highlighted that the impetus on technology was instrumental in Chitkara University’s smooth sailing through the testing pandemic. Various virtual platforms to conduct online classes, Webinars, meetings and exams were a few examples of almost flawless transition.
