Dr. Madhu Chitkara addresses the 9th Annual Skill Development Summit 2021

Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Pro-Chancellor, Chitkara University was an eminent speaker at the 9th Annual Skill Development Summit 2021 organized by Indian Education Network. She shared her valuable insights on the topic ‘Integration of Skill Education, Employment & Innovations in Higher Education’.

While addressing the audience, she reiterated that ‘skill development’ has to be an integral part of our education system. She highlighted the fact that in order to have a long-lasting impact, emphasis on skill enhancement aspect has to be laid from high school level. The other inseparable verticals are entrepreneurship & innovation and all three go hand in hand. Sharing her experience, she laid emphasis on the fact that a good academician has to be good researcher and curiosity is the most vital component of an excellent researcher.

She further highlighted that Chitkara University’s state of the art infrastructure and lab facilities, collaborative culture of navigating the students towards skill development and innovation and entrepreneurship have aided the skill development process. She concluded by mentioning that an honest and concerted attempt to solve persistent societal challenges is the best way for innovation.
