Chitkara Alumna Dr. Neelakshi Majumdar Reveals Aerospace Engineering Insights at CAAN Event

In a proud moment for the Chitkara Alumni Association Network (CAAN), Chitkara University, Dr. Neelakshi Majumdar, a distinguished alumna, graced the campus. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Arkansas, USA, Dr. Majumdar is a 2009 graduate in Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE) from Chitkara University, Himachal Pradesh. Her academic journey includes earning a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Purdue University.
 
She was welcomed by Dr. Rajnish Sharma, Vice-Chancellor, Chitkara University, Himachal Pradesh. During her insightful session with students on “Engineering the Future: Advancing Aerospace Engineering Systems” Dr. Majumdar shared her academic and professional journey. She share her journey from obtaining a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering at Purdue University to her experiences as a student pilot, her narrative provided students with valuable insights into the advancements and challenges in aerospace engineering.

As a remarkable gesture of appreciation, Dr. Majumdar announced full scholarships for Ph.D. programs at the University of Arkansas for Chitkara students from both campuses. This philanthropic initiative underscores her commitment to nurturing and supporting the next generation of scholars at Chitkara University.
