7th Annual Convocation Ceremony of Chitkara University, Himachal Pradesh held with over 400-degree holders receiving degrees
The annual convocation of the Chitkara University, Himachal Pradesh was held on 7th July 2018 in the presence of Honourable Chancellor Dr Ashok K Chitkara, Pro-Chancellor Dr Madhu Chitkara, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Varinder Kanwar and special guests.
More than 400 engineering students in the class of 2018, received their degrees from our Hon’ble guests during the annual convocation ceremony 2018:
- Mr Suresh Gopalakrishnan – Founder & CEO at BeeHyv Software – An Outsourced Product Development (OP D) firm.
- Mr. Narayan Rao K, Head – HR at NCC Limited
- Mohan Singh – Vice President – Group Head Human Resource, at Sterling and Wilson Group, an Associate of Shapoorji Pallonji Co Ltd.
- Mr Ashish Gupta – CTO & CPO at PolicyBazaar.com.
- Mr Colin Mendes – General Manager & Head of Human Resources at Voltas Limited.
- V. Manjunath Rao – Head HR at Kalpataru Power Transmission Limited.
The guest said, “A university nurtures widespread human values through stimulating quality education and I am glad that Chitkara University has lived up to its name ever since its inception.” It was further added by one of the guests that, the University is certainly encouraging inter-disciplinary studies and a healthy trend in worldwide education rather than limiting itself to a constrained teaching pattern.
The course curriculum of CUHP was appreciated and it was stated that the University is making its students more capable for the international job market.
The gold medallists for various branches were:
1) CSE: Shubham Kansal
2) ECE: Pratyaksh Joshi
3) CE: Pravesh Kumar
Dr Ashok K Chitkara and Dr Madhu Chitkara motivated the young pass outs to do well wherever they are and stick by Chitkara University’s belief, ‘Explore your potential’.
