Techelone is the annual technical fest of Chitkara University Himachal Pradesh. This year it took place on 20th and 21st March. The mass gathering of students from all major reputed colleges in Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, and the National Capital Delhi saw a great start, a huge proceeding and an awesome end.
45 events were organized including events like Mr. and Ms. Techie, Model-o-mania, Can You Debug, Bridge Your Way, Dream House, Autobot, Circuit Enigma and C Champ; the total cash prize of approximately rupees 10 lakh.
A new step towards technology and innovation was taken by Chitkara University Himachal Pradesh; Model-o-mania, an event that filled the courtyard of the university with budding engineers and their professional innovative ideas. 20 teams from different universities and different arenas of sciences represented their take on the future. This turned out to be a major attraction of the fest.
This is for the first time that an event has been conducted that spanned a complete night. Hackathon, an Android coding event conducted by Google Developers Group, Chandigarh and Google Students Club, Chitkara University (HP) saw participations from various universities. It was a mass gathering of enthusiastic students who stood up all night ransacking their minds over new ideas that could change the way things work. 60 teams participated in the event from which 14 teams were successful in making their apps without any flaws or errors. And out of those Applications, four teams are going to get their application launched into the Google Play Store.
C Champ, a coding event in the languages C, C++ and JAVA was endorsed by SAP Technologies. 130 participants were given technologically advanced real life problems, making sure that their minds get a full marathon run.
The Google Students Club in association with Google Developers Group, Chandigarh organized three major workshops covering the topics Android, Cloud Computing and Digital Marketing. The participation of a whopping total of 450 students made the attempt a grand success.
It was an event that showcased the new era of technology, catering to amasses and the ideas that stand a chance as well as our full support mark their places in the upcoming future. The needs are more, and so we need to deliver more and more.
A shout out to the Fest Convenor of Techelone 2015 and also a Google Students Ambassador Mr. Vaibhav Rakheja says, “This was an attempt to raise the technical aptitude of the students and bring out the best of technology from them. The prowess has been displayed. Cheerios!”.
