The evening was filled with nostalgia and sweet memories as the alumni interacted with each other and walked down memory lane.
Moreover, a special message from Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Pro-Chancellor, Chitkara University, made the evening even more delightful.

Walking down the memory lanes were MBA Healthcare Alumni, as Chitkara Alumni Network (CAN) hosted an Alumni Meet in heart of Delhi. The fun-packed event was loaded with laughter, warm embraces and friendly banters & discussions, much like the student days of the alumni.
All road lead to Hard Rock Cafe for Alumni Meet. More than 400 Alumns of Chitkara University “Relived, Recalled and Refreshed” their memories of the moments spent in Chitkara Turf. Alumni flew down from Mumbai, Jamnagar, Bengaluru, Gurgaon, Noida and Chandigarh for the Meet to Reconnect and Reminisce.
Our Alumni are Changing the World and “Mountain Mama take me home” was just the feel of Reflection 2018 Alumni Meet Bengaluru Chapter at Hard Rock Café. It was a nostalgic trip back to alleys of Chitkara University. The Meet was indeed a chance for Alumni to reconnect as they talked about stories & moments that were almost forgotten. Words can’t describe excitement and renewed camaraderie during the reunion of more than 225 Alumni. Now maestros of the Corporate World, they were proud to know about the achievements, glory and laurels being won by their Alma Mater and came forward to support/guide/take us through with different inputs/suggestions for a way forward for the University and becoming a strong bond between Industry and Academia. While connecting the Alumni dots, we do every bit to make our Alumni connect, interact, share, bond, add meaning and do much more than just being a memory.
“Purani Jeans Aur Guitar” was just the feel of Reflection 2018 Alumni meet at Novotel HICC Hyderabad and it was a nostalgic trip back to alleys of Chitkara University. Our Alumni, now maestros of the Corporate World came back to reflect back on their journey at Chitkara which gave them wings to fly, chiselled and prepared them for the World of opportunities around the Globe. Buzzing with activities along with brainstorming sessions on the way forward to take Chitkara Alumni Network, Alumni came up with brilliant ideas and We launched “Chitkarian’s for each other” FB page for our alumni community. Alumni from First batch 2002 were really proud and amazed to see their alma mater touching pinnacles of glory. And no party at Chitkara can end without shaking a leg and students grooved burning the Dance Floor. Coming soon is the next Alumni Meet..so stay tuned so as not to miss the Alumni Train…
It is important to connect and reconnect and this is one of the reasons that we strengthen the bond with our Alumni every now and then. One such grand event was the Alumni meet- Reminisce 2017@ Chandigarh Chapter. This was the third Alumni Meet at Chandigarh, which was held at FLYP@MTV Cafe, Chandigarh on Saturday, 27th May 2017, at 7:00 PM. Over 500 Alumni participated in the meet.
The Alumni meet was indeed a chance to reconnect the Alumni with their Alma Mater. It allowed them to relive the carefree days of their college lives taking a fascinating trip down the memory lane that gave our alumni an opportunity to see old friends again and catch up with them. They came across places and stories that were almost forgotten. Some things changed, some stayed the same and it was a pleasure see them share their experiences after they left the pedestal where they learnt to dream and achieve.
After some great conversation, they had the time of the lives as they indulged in some great fun and frolic. Words can’t describe the excitement and renewed camaraderie during the reunion of more than 500 Alumni of Chitkara University.
As the years pass by and winds of change keep blowing, the Alumni meet too shall keep evolving with the pace of time, hoping to bring to the alumni an experience that they may cherish all their lives. We deeply believe that the union we share with our students and Alumni is profound and means much to us. We do every bit to make our Alumni come back to us, interact, share, bond, add meaning and do much more than just being a memory. We feel that we have proved this belief of ours in all these years and will keep doing so in the years to come.
Chitkara kept up its tradition of treating its Alumni with grand alumni meet and for the very first time conducted a grand event at the ‘Hard Rock Cafe’, Pune. As an Alumni, you know that Chitkara University sets the Standard of Excellence in education and we can not do it without Alumni’s Support .The event was a huge success and there were an overwhelming number of alumni who made it a memorable event.
In all, 218 alumni participated in Pune Chapter. On behalf of Chitkara faculty, staff and students – CAN welcomed the guests with warm smiles. Those who represented the University for this event were Harsharn Sehgal – Associate Director, Office of External Affairs, Roma Singh – Senior Manager, Office of External Affairs, Shaily Jain – Associate Professor and Deputy Dean (CSE) at Chitkara University HP, Girish Rao – Associate Professor CSE at Chitkara University HP, Rupali Gill – Associate Professor CSE at Chitkara University Punjab, Ajay – Assistant Manager, office of Alumni Affairs and Harleen Sandhu – Associate Director, office of Alumni Affairs.
It was an afternoon that gave the alumni an opportunity to meet with fellow graduates and the faculty members . The alumni were invited to lend their support in inventive ways – to be mentors, help secure an internship, be a guest speaker and donate that would help to shape the future of this great University. The party included some interesting ice-breaking activities after which the crowd took a trip to memory lane and revisited their time at the University. The Afternoon turned into a high energy party that soon engulfed everyone. The music, dance and lots of catching up those memorable moments made the party a thrilling event.
The fun and excitement of the party were visible on every face and it led to some emotional moments as well. The Lunch and snacks were relished by everyone and the final feather in the hat was the souvenirs were given out to every alumni thanking them for their gracious presence.
It is said that ‘We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give’, this is how our alumni have been making a difference. We are thankful to them for getting involved and staying engaged by lending their support in creative, personally meaningful ways that have always inspired and contributed to shaping the future of this great University.

To take a walk down the corridors of nostalgia, the second alumni meet, REMINISCE Chapter 2016, was held at Bengaluru, Hard Rock Café. The meet saw 219 alumni becoming a proud part and paying their gratitude to their alma mater for crafting them the people that they are today.

In all, 126 alumni participated in Bengaluru, most of which were from the 2008 batch. The evening started with an address by Harleen Kaur. She talked about how we all embrace new opportunities, challenges ahead making the most of life. The event was further taken ahead by the Ms Cavita Taragi- Vice President, Office of External Affairs, who was later joined in by Dr Sandhir Sharma- Dean/ Chitkara Business School. They shared the developments and objectives of their alma mater with everyone present. The aim was to share that Chitkara University is now set to step into the next level and their participation and contribution is requested for all future endeavours.

Over 110 alumni were part of a lunch hosted by Chitkara Alumni Network at Social Hauz Khas Village in Delhi on February 21, 2015. Meet comprised of mixed alumni from various streams and it was stirring to see some super seniors from CSE at the venue.
The alumni were au fait with the various developments and the objectives achieved by the University. They were informed that their alma mater was poised to move onto the next level, and were requested for their participation in the further development of the University.
They were entertained with some overwhelming games and other ice-breaking activities. The alumni seemed to walk down the memory lane as they interacted with others at the event. The nostalgic social interaction led to an emotional mood that embraced the occasion. They were made to enjoy some lip smacking snacks followed by a sumptuous lunch, which they all relished.
Towards the end of the event, they were given souvenirs and it was a token of immense pleasure and gratitude that the University will always hold for its alumni.
It was indeed an honour for everyone at Chitkara University to receive and host our alumni, who are our pride. The meet started with welcoming the guests, our alumni.
Dr Madhu Chitkara welcomed the guests with a welcome speech and the much awaited alumni newsletter 2014 was launched with honorable chancellor Dr Ashok Chitkara and Dr Louis Chalkley, Lord Ashcroft, International Business School, Anglen Ruskin University.
The alumni achievement award ceremony was next in which Amulmeet Chadha was given the award. Our HERO Harshbir, who works as senior production executive at the HPC factory Haridwar, was honoured on the occasion for saving a life back at his factory.
It was time to bring those laughter lines on our alumni’s faces with a comedy show. And, after a fun-filled evening it was time to indulge in sumptuous eats. The alumni were given a token of remembrance as they left the venue. The alumni meet was a grand event, like always, and it just left us yearning for more.
It was all about excitement, contentment, remembering old times, meeting old pals and revisiting the memory lane as 105 old pupils got together to celebrate the spirit of Chitkara at the Delhi Alumni Meet. Interaction was the utmost thing that happened at the meet as it was all about meeting old pals and knowing that who is doing what after passing out from the University. There were Hays and Byes and people looked delighted to see their batchmates once again.
The meet was held on April 27 at Hotel Radisson Blu Marine at Connaught Place in New Delhi.
Our faculty member Dr Sandhir Sharma, Dean, Chitkara Business School, gave a presentation to all on ‘Tink Tank’, a Chitkara initiative, that funds a novel idea given by alumni. Everyone present took an active part when the team from the University spoke about the progress made by the University as it evolved from Chitkara Educational Trust to Chitkara University, North India’s most preferred University of the region, in a short span of time.
Punctuality always gets noticed and our on-time arrivers got a chance to participate in a punctuality draw in which three prizes were given away. Another attraction of the event was a prize for the biggest gang that turned up at the dinner meet together.
Dance on foot-tapping numbers followed next and everyone was on the dance floor with dinner being served later. Everyone, who attended the meet was given a return gift as a token of affection by Chitkara University.
We are still receiving thank you mails and notes from our alumni who were a part of the Delhi meet and we would like to thank them for becoming a part of the effort put in by the CAN team.
Chitkara University’s inaugural alumni meet, CHANDIGARH NOSTALGIA 2013, was held on 26th January 2013 at the Chitkara International School, Sector 25, Chandigarh. The 160-odd alumni who attended the meet were acquainted with the various developments at, and milestones achieved by, the University over the years. They were also informed about the future plans of the Chitkara Alumni Network.
Pro-Chancellor, Dr Madhu Chitkara addressed the gathering and expressed her happiness over the large number of alumni who made it to the event. She explained to the alumni−who she addressed as the members of the Chitkara family−how Chitkara University had evolved over the years. She added that Chitkara University was poised to move onto the next level, and urged greater engagement and participation from the alumni in the further development of the University.
This was followed by Dr Sandhir Sharma−Dean Chitkara Business School−, and Dr Rajnish Sharma−Dean Electronic Communication, Chitkara University−, together taking the stage. They quoted Swami Vivekananda’s words, “All strength is within you”, and, “You are the creator of your own destiny”, and explained the universal relevance of these timeless words. After their combined address, the alumni were taken through the TINK TANK (Innovation Incubator) process.
After the completion of the formalities, it was time for some fun and frolic. Live performance by the famous stand-up comedian Rajiv Thakur had the alumni, staff and students in splits. An energetic dance performance by the current students regaled the audience, while the biggest surprise of the day came when the Chancellor, Dr Ashok Chitkara delivered an impressive, inspiring drums-playing performance. It was an apt moment for all present to look inside their selves and explore their potential.
CHANDIGARH NOSTALGIA 2013 saw nostalgic, emotional interactions among the now-well-settled alumni. A cake–cutting ceremony, followed by a sumptuous lunch concluded the highly successful event, which saw the alumni promising to meet every year to keep in touch with their alma mater, and with each other.
