Dr Rajnish Sharma held the position of Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic Affairs), Chitkara University, Punjab from September, 2022 before joining at the current position of Vice Chancellor. He has completed his M. Phil and Ph.D. in Atomic and Radiation Physics from Nuclear Science Laboratories, Punjabi University, Patiala- India. In conjunction with his career of 20 years in teaching and research, he has been accumulating distinguished experiences in the University since its inception. Dr Sharma initiated several reforms to strengthen and safeguard the administrative and examination systems in terms of secrecy, transparency and digitalization of students credentials on NAD/Digilocker etc.
